  • 2012 Lock, Stock, & Barrel

The 2012 LSB shows a great combination of ripe dark fruits and oak derived characters.  The warmer than average growing season has produced ripe black cherry, blackberry, cassis and plum aromas and flavours.  16 months in oak barrels has imparted dark chocolate, coffee, cedar and pencil lead notes.  In the background, subtle hints of mint and licorice add another layer of complexity.  There is a blanket of silky tannin throughout, and a long and savoury finish.

  • 2011 Pinot Noir

The 2011 Pinot Noir is a classic cool vintage wine with bright berry notes and refreshing acidity. Mineral driven the aromas showcase cranberry, red cherry, cedar and orange spices.  Barrel aged for 14 months in the cellar, the wine has developed creaminess from ageing on yeast lees, as well as cedar and pencil lead notes from its time in French Oak barriques.  Expressive and elegant, this is a classic Pinot Noir that expresses it’s Escarpment terroir, vintage and winemaking influences.
