  • 2011 Lock, Stock, & Barrel

    Rosewood’s inaugural vintage of Lock, Stock, & Barrel, is crafted to explore the application of new world innovation and old world techniques. This unique assemblage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, and is a blend of 94% free-run and 6% press-run. On the nose dark fruit and intense aromas of cherries, plums, black currant, and dark chocolate. The palate erupts with robust fruit, while soothing acidity lingers on. Pair with venison, grilled steak and unique game meats. This elegant yet bold wine is a true cellar candidate. Decant for 1 to 2 hours or cellar until 2018.

  • 2010 Pinot Noir Reserve 

    Sourced from the Twenty Mile Bench (renowned for Pinot Noir), this Pinot Noir Reserve showcases the distinct expression of the vintage and appellation. Rich in colour for Pinot Noir, this wine showcases the minerality of the soil and the ripe fruit of the vintage. With bright raspberry cranberry on the nose, the palate is balanced with acidity and a smooth finish of cherry and a hint of vanilla. A great pairing with duck confit, seared lamb chops, mushroom risotto and fresh tomato based pasta dishes.

  • 2010 Merlot Reserve

    Only 3 barrels were produced of this single vineyard wild fermented reserve Merlot. Rich and complex, this medium bodied Merlot boasts a nose of black cherries, blackberries and roasted coffee. Concentrated yet balanced, this gentle giant is elegant with a full flavours of juicy plums, and dark raspberries. Rosewood’s 5th Merlot Reserve is best when paired with savoury game meats such as venison, elk or boar. Try with aged steaks topped with braised wild mushrooms.

  • 2011 Pinot Noir

    The 2011 Pinot Noir is a classic cool vintage wine with bright berry notes and refreshing acidity. Mineral driven the aromas showcase cranberry, red cherry, cedar and orange spices.  Barrel aged for 14 months in the cellar, the wine has developed creaminess from ageing on yeast lees, as well as cedar and pencil lead notes from its time in French Oak barriques.  Expressive and elegant, this is a classic Pinot Noir that expresses it’s Escarpment terroir, vintage and winemaking influences.

  • 2012 Long Rows Red

    Inspired by the long rows of our 21st Street Vineyard, our Long Rows Red is a blend of Niagara Escarpment Pinot Noir (65%) and Merlot (35%).  Handcrafted & barrel aged for 8 months in French Oak, this deep ruby wine has texture and mouth feel from the ripe 2012 vintage. With complex notes of plum, cherry and raspberry, the wine is smooth with a kiss of vanilla. Pair with short ribs, lamb burger, pork shoulder or tomato gnocchi.

  • 2011 Merlot 

    Merlot is the predominant grape of the famous Bordeaux region, but it is also quickly establishing itself as a star in our Niagara Escarpment terroir. Our 2011 Merlot is loaded with berry fruit aromas and flavours. Ripe strawberries, raspberries and blackberries virtually leap out of the glass. Behind these bold berry aromas and flavours are subtleties of dried herbs, cedar, cold cream and cola. The palate also shows dark chocolate flavours and silky smooth tannins. This delicious and approachable wine will drink well over the next 3-5 years.
