2018 Neptune, aptly named after the god of the sea. Why Neptune? After the juice spends its light in terracotta pots for 18 months a rich and distinct saline character emerges.

2018 Neptune is 100% Riesling harvested from the Renaceau Vineyard (winery home block). After pressing, the juice was transferred to 60% neutral French oak puncheons + 40% unlined clay amphora. Each portion was fermented using non-selected wild yeast, then matured on lees for 18 months in these vessels. Full malo. Bottled without fining or filtration. Tastes like an ocean sea breeze wrapped inside the arms of a juicy lemon.
